Matthew Woodson’s entire online portfolio was recently lost in a server crash, the upside (for me, at least) of which was the very enjoyable 40 minutes I spent trawling the web for works of his I hadn’t yet come across. His illustrations often resemble sumptuously coloured stills from a high-quality animated film, and are always packed with expression and very human emotion.
